Abstract

Today, YouTube has become one of the most important educational tools in the modern era, and this technology has been employed in the field of education, teaching and learning, whether at the collective level such as educational institutions or at the individual level in order to benefit from the explanation and delivery of the scientific materials contained in the videos published on the site And the ability to give better opportunities to learners and to provide them with experiences in simple and easy ways, and as a result of the circumstances that the world has experienced, including Iraq, from challenges and difficulties that faced education, including the Corona pandemic, which cast a shadow on all institutions, including educational, which is the most affected as a result of the suspension of the attendance system and its alternative, the electronic education system, And the accompanying problems related to the structure of this system and its modernity, and the fact that the researcher is the son of this institution. He believes that YouTube technology has many features and advantages that enable the learner to watch the relevant clips many times in order to ensure that he has overcome the weaknesses and defects that occurred to him at a certain point.                                                                                      This study aimed to identify the effectiveness of using YouTube educational channels in enhancing the skills and abilities of sixth preparatory students. One of the descriptive survey studies, in which the social survey method was used, one of the most important descriptive approaches for its important role in giving field studies a higher possibility of collecting information and data related to the study. The data was statistically processed by the (SPSS) program, and this study came out with a set of results, including: The majority of individuals use educational channels via YouTube to a large extent, and more than half of the sample members can never dispense with YouTube and consider it an important factor of success, being It covers all the vocabulary of materials and scientific lessons through its detailed contents, and they consider it an assistant factor for training and scientific analysis in The practical lessons, and the results also showed that the educational channels via YouTube gave them new opportunities to learn and developed their scientific level and created better chances of success for them
